If there has been a reoccurring theme in my life it has most definitely been that I’ve found the best music in the most unexpected places. From leaving the main stage to see who is playing at the side stage of a festival or jumping at the opportunity to see an artist a friend likes, but I’ve never heard of. Last week was no different; though this time I found it in a parking lot in Los Angeles outside the Ace Hotel after the premiere of Skrillex and Wiwek’s Still In The Cage.
From the moment you press play on Elex’s remix of Can’t Stop The Feeling you are whisked away by her angelic voice that carries the melody of the song while slowly being accompanied by other sounds. Once the beat begins to build and then drop and then drop, she puts on a full display of her song writing ability with a melody that feels like Jai Wolf, but with a sound more reminiscent of Sam Feldt.
