Although there were many exclusive world premieres of new music during EDC Las Vegas last weekend, Dutch producer Hardwell unveiled not just the first single (Arcadia) from his upcoming studio album, but also his beautiful new remix of Coldplay’s collaboration with Avicii entitled "A Sky Full of Stars."
By only making a few little changes here and there, Hardwell has successfully retained the euphoria of the original, while still giving the record a huge progressive house sound. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s voice is as smooth as ever, soaring over the song’s catchy pop-like melody. The addition of Hardwell’s signature sound gives the record another life, transforming it into an anthem-like tune that is perfectly suited for main stages all over the world.
Personally invited by the label (FFRR/Parlophone) to remix the second single from their new album "Ghost Stories", Hardwell said:
“I’ve long been a fan of the band so when I discovered they wanted me to remix one of the tracks from their new album, it was really a ‘wow’ moment for me. It’s such an honor and I’m really proud of the outcome of the track. When I dropped it at EDC Las Vegas, the crowd’s reaction was electrifying; it still gives me Goosebumps thinking about it!”
This huge new track is set to come out on July 14th, so remember to grab your copy once it's out and as always, happy listening!
