Happy Tuesday Daily Beaters! I am not sure if you heard the latest song by Southern California rapper Big Sean or not but it’s entitled Control. Nothing too out of the ordinary from Big Sean in our eyes though. The fun really comes about mid-way through the track when Kendrick Lamar directly calls out to Big Sean and other rappers to essentially step their game up. This track not only didn't make it onto Sean's upcoming "Hall of Fame" album due to licensing issues, but had Twitter gasping for air Monday night. On August 4th, 2013, Governor’s Island is undergoing a scheduled infestation courtesy of RPM, Coast II Coast, and Dim Mak! World renowned, iconic and celebrated musical pioneers INFECTED MUSHROOM, will bring their LIVE show across the ferry and venture across the sea to Governor’s Island.

Before Verboten opens its own dance venue in Brooklyn, the massive electronic music event company gave their audience a preview of what is to come with the 2013 StageONE Brooklyn Waterfront Series. After spending two of my summer days with some of the world's best DJs, I can confirm that Verboten surely knows how to throw one hell of a party. The first of the two shows took place on the Fourth of July, and those present to celebrate America's independence included Sasha, Guy Gerber, and a personal favorite of mine: Maya Jane Coles. The sun was shining down hard at over 90 degrees on a packed lot of concert-goers all day, but once Maya took over the decks at 5:30 there was no question that she was the number one source of heat in New York. From 5:30 to 7 she riled up the crowd with a great set featuring some music from her new album, Comfort, including the track 'Burning Bright' on which she teamed up with Kim Ann Foxman of Hercules and Love Affair.

The Saturday Coyote Kisses will be performing at the always wild Santos Party House located on 96 Lafayette Street. Coyote Kisses, Bryce and Joe, hail from Lakeland, Florida. They have been around since 2010, but really made it big in the scene last year and they totally deserve it. Below is their latest song "Black Cat," which gives you a great idea of how awesome the night is going to be. If you have never been to Santos Party House then that is a reason in itself to go because the venue never disappoints and truly is exactly what it's name says.
