Carl Craig and Stacey Pullen Join Forces for Brooklyn's Detroit Love Party [11.21.15]

The infamous Detroit Love party will be returning to Verboten later this November, on Saturday the 21st . Head runner, the techno god known as Carl Craig, brings his cultural music movement to Brooklyn for a fourth time. Last time we saw Craig, he played an entire modular set at StageOne - showing off his brilliant skills in technology and sound manipulation. For his upcoming appearance, you can expect him to play a set of higher velocities, and deeper bass. Craig is right at home, perfectly placed under the glistening disco ball of an intimate club.

If you've never seen Carl live, well... You've been doing something seriously wrong. Craig stands at the mecca of the American techno movement, his roots directly correlating with the development of the genre itself. He's played alongside every legend you can imagine, and then some. The Detroit Love crusade started at 2014's ADE Festival, in the profound and personal spaces of Amsterdam's underground North Sea Jazz Club. Since it's conception, Craig's vision has spread across the world, emerging in over 30 cities across the globe. Performers and artists are hand picked by the master himself. With Craig as the conductor, there is only room for greatness.

Beside Craig will be Stacey Pullen, a meticulous producer whose craft boasts quality over quantity. Pullen was recently selected to curate and mix the newest compilation for the world famous Balance series - featuring originals and remixes from Oscar P, Fake Blood, Huxley, Sobek, Folic State, and more. A rightful choice by Craig, Stacey developed his sharp vibrato during Detroit's second techno forthcoming in the 1990s. His selection in tracks for the 028 Balance Series is a small but potent reflection of his style - with an exciting plot and extremely thoughtful progression, its clear the artist is a capable parallel as Carl Craig's opener. Listen to a preview of the 028 Balance Series here.

This is a call to action, if you're in town the weekend of November 21, it'd be in your best interest to attend the Detroit Love party. Techno is limitless.
