UPDATED 2:15PM: After much skepticism with the back and forth rumors that Camp Bisco would be returning after its 2014 hiatus, we can now rest easy.
Camp Bisco is the product of The Disco Biscuits who launched the festival in 1999 with the idea of bringing jam bands to the same grounds as electronic music. After 12 years of outstanding success, bringing such acts as Bassnectar, Skrillex, LCD Soundsystem, Thievery Corporation, Wiz Khalifa and more, they were forced to halt the festival due to safety concerns by the police. Many feared that it would not return in 2015 especially after being denied permits for the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY, where the event had been held the previous years. Posted a couple of days ago, they challenged us with this word search on their Instagram page:
After a closer look we can see it spells out, “Never had a home like this, the prophets said be careful what you wish. Never had to think twice, always knew my home was in paradise. Scranton, Pennsylvania.”
Not more than 20 hours ago, the site has been updated, confirming the dates (July 16-18) and the location, Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA, which is about the same distance as the previous venue.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon. Make sure to subscribe to their email list to be kept up to date on all of the announcements going forward.
