One of the biggest up-and-coming bands in pop-punk and rock, Boxteles brings music fans their newest smash-hit ‘Relevant’. Consisting of vocalist and guitarist Tom Bedford, drummer Oliver Perry, guitarist Ollie Harrison, and Alex ‘Rex’ Richardson on bass, the powerhouse came together in 2018 and has delivered a long list of rock anthems ever since. The Boxteles lively on-stage energy and array of musical expertise have led to their support of the UK’s most popular acts, such as The Lottery Winners, Kyle Falconer, Larkins, and King No-One.

With each performance, Boxteles put legendary riffs, catchy hooks, and raw passion on display for their audience. They are dedicated to their mission of pushing the boundaries of pop-punk and rock with their unique style. In 2021, Boxteles released the EP Break-ups, Bevs, and Thinking Ahead’, which quickly shot them up the rankings within the music industry. Doubling down on the EP’s success, the band drops their heaviest track yet, ‘Relevant’.

‘Relevant’ wastes no time, instantly throwing down a barrage of electrifying guitar chords and a singalong chorus line that is guaranteed to be echoed by the crowd when played live. Lyrically, ‘Relevant’ is centered around the upsurge of influencer culture and its impact on society. It sheds light on the obsession that people have with their online personas and how social media seems to serve as a crutch for many. Speaking truth on how far someone will go to remain popular and how heavily influencer culture can weigh on people, ‘Relevant’ embodies an important message for its listeners. Encompassing elements of electronic music, the heavy rock single can appeal to a diverse selection of music enthusiasts, captivating everyone in its presence.
