Josie Martin, better known as Candyland, has been smashing through the end of the year with a handful of diverse releases. She's wrapping up 2K15 with another installment of her infamous 'OG' remix series, this time its the classic Thuggish Ruggish Bone by Bone Thugz N Harmony and we couldn't have been more impressed with the results.

Candyland and Clips x Ahoy have trimmed the excess of EDM by handing over this remix at under 3 minutes. The track leaves out an intro and gets to the point with a hyper kick pattern that builds tension with trap horns moving by a nasty half step. We're just stoked that she's able to toy with this gangster anthem in a way different than most trap producers claim 'remix' or 'bootleg'. Structure wise this is an impressive piece and production wise its no different than you would expect from Candyland's 'OG' saga. We're talking glitch stutters in the samples, beefy horn hits, and eccentric snare bits that can push a dance floor to the next level. Overall we're getting a much meaner tone on this release and it has us wondering how dark Josie will be taking us in 2016.
