Today is a good day for music as one of dance music's biggest tastemakers Claude VonStroke drops the debut record for his new alias and real name Barclay Crenshaw. The 45 year old producer, DJ, and founder of Dirtybird Records has taken a jab at hip hop inspired music which is way different than his usual cup of tech house tea.

Barclay certainly lets his imagination soar with a great of variety from slow experimental hip hop beats to quicker dub influences bangers. Overall we're noticing a ton of melodic elements that are extremely powerful in progression yet dark and almost trap-inspired at times. The features do the album so much justice with a some flaming verses from The Underachievers as well as Mr. Carmack, Aviella, Lady Chann, and The Cool Kids.

We were extremely impressed with this release but let us know what you think and catch Barclay Crenshaw on tour this Winter at any of these dates.
