Singer-songwriter and producer Avae is one of the best underground artists in chill soulful electronic music, and his new song with Faye, "CBD" is a prime example of that. The psychedelic soul song reaches new heights, intoxicating listeners with a groovy bass guitar, velvety vocals, and soothing synths.

Everyone can relate to this song. Especially after the last two years, it's been difficult to find the light at the end of the tunnel, but "CBD" reminds us to relax and look on the bright side.

'CBD' is an important piece to me, as it’s about melting away the stress, depression and anger that are very common in life. It’s a sort of meditation that helps me pull through the tough experiences and never giving in to the negative feelings that can end careers, or even lives, getting out of the anxiety and “Coming Back Down” to earth. Faye and I have worked on this song for a good while, so we’re happy to finally show this to the world.

Faye adds, "In this song, CBD is an acronym for ‘coming back down’ which is the song’s hook. For me, that was a way of saying, ‘I’m coming back to myself. I’m grounding myself after a difficult situation. I’m overcoming my fear and moving forward with new knowledge and sense of self. When we were writing this I had just ended a relationship and was deep into reconnecting with myself. This song is definitely a reflection of that period, yet can apply to a multitude of life experiences, leaving it open to personal interpretation."

She also says, "Sonically and lyrically, CBD brings me this feeling of soothing strength and connection to my higher self. But also makes me want to dance? It’s the best of both worlds.”

Both vocalists play off of each other enchantingly, ironically bringing you to another dimension void of worries and struggles. The Dallas-based musician also brings a trippy visualizer, so you can get the full experience.
