London has been a hotspot for dance and electronic music ever since the birth of those genres. New York's counterpart across the pond is full of great venues and even greater musicians filling their stages every night. However, one in particular has been making waves within the past year or so, and he is George Fitzgerald. A London native, Fitzgerald has releases on Berlin label Hotflush and London's Aus, and doesn't show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. His BBC 1 Essential Mix this past January certainly consisted of a compelling mix of songs from Fitzgerald himself as well as several new tracks coming from artists off of his new record label "Man Make Music". Pioneering his own "deep tech garage" sound (a phrase coined by moi), George Fitzgerald is a must-listen for 2013.
