Rising producer AObeats is a regular feature here at Daily Beat and with good reason. As a co-founder of the buzzy collective Moving Castle and prolific solo act, it seems like the 21 year old DC native is only getting better with every release. His latest is an official remix for the British pop newcomer Annabel Jones' single "Magnetic." AObeats completely revamps the song, retaining the topline but replacing the original's minimal production with his now signature blend of chopped vocals, booming horn riffs, and crisp hi-hat work. Here's what Annabel herself told Idolator for their premiere of the remix:
"I was so happy when I heard that AObeats was going to remix 'Magnetic' as I respect his vibe massively [...] Facing an interpretation of your work is a pretty cool feeling [and] AO interpreted Magnetic fabulously, thanks bud.”
