Raff Alpha, a 22 year old from Baltimore, has something that I haven't seen or heard in a very long time: lyrical talent.  I am talking about raw hip hop storytelling.  With his plays on words, delivery speed, and subject matter, Raff Alpha’s rhymes bring me back to the early 90’s hip hop scene.  Personally, I think the way he brings such vivid detail into his rhyme shows that Raff Alpha could hang with the best of Talib or Mos Def.  His flow is incredibly versatile, allowing him to rap over an impressive array of beats including everything from gritty Wu Tang Clan samples to old R&B mixes. Raff Alpha is definitely an artist that you want to follow if you’re a fan of classic hip hop.
