When we sat down with London native DJ/producer Alex Metric to discuss his latest set at Electric Daisy Carnival New York, we anticipated to chat about his latest set, hyping up a packed MetLife Stadium crowd, and future plans for a smashing summer 2014. But, due to a passing storm, Metric's set was cut short, which left us with a bit of an impromptu interview with the London producer.

Alex Metric, despite the last-minute storm, gave us his take on the growing dance music culture in America. "As the EDM culture came in and all these new kids came into dance music, they weren't so open-minded and wanted EDM sounding stuff. But now as they are a few years in, they began looking for something different, and I managed to end up in this position where I can provide that," said Alex Metric.

Metric's take on the growing acceptance gave him the confidence to play nearly the same set he would anywhere around the world, tipping his cap off to America's growing acceptance of dance music variety.

Listen to that and much more in this exclusive EDC New York interview below!
