The Hard Rock Hotel San Diego was packed this past Wednesday night ringing in the New Year with none other than Adventure Club. The event was sold out with hundreds of people dressed to impress all over the 3 story party, which had 5 unique venues. 20+ DJs brought their own vibes and sounds to the stages giving the night a little bit of everything from old school hip hop to some pretty dirty dubs.
207 is the first venue as you enter the hotel, followed by 3 ballrooms on the second floor. This is where the main stage was located for Adventure Club's performance. After wondering through each room you find a bit of the night air as you head up the third floor of the party to Float. Float opens up on the rooftop providing incredible views of San Diego's Gaslamp District and displays the sparkling sides of the building lit up for the occasion. The Hard Rock certainly set the mood in style to say goodbye to 2014.
When the dynamic Canadian duo finally came to the stage you could feel the energy shift as everyone knew it was close to the stroke of midnight. The main ballroom was suddenly flooded with people crowding the stage as they had an opportunity for an up close and personal Adventure Club performance. The duo even came around the booth to greet fans and poured them some NYE shots!
11:59pm arrived and as everyone is yelling 5, 4, 3, 2... you hear Duke Dumont’s “As long as I got you, baby” just in time for a New Year kiss. Adventure Club then played their hit from this year “Gold”, which is the perfect uplifting anthem for a New Year.
Before the night ended they played a killer mash-up of Lana Del Rey, who is always a crowd pleaser, as well as their new single “Fade”. Adventure Club has a distinct way of bringing in the crowd through songs the audience knows the lyrics to that are fitting of the occasion, then adding heavy drops that give every beat of the song so much more impact.
All in all this was a fantastic event! The Hard Rock always knows how to throw a great party and this particular set by Adventure Club is just the soundtrack for all those resolutions you may have for 2015.
Don’t forget to pick up a copy of “Fade” on iTunes and remember Stay Gold!
