MRKI - Weird Nights

Among my favorite experimental indie pop artists to make their debut this year is MRKI. I stumbled upon her captivating vocal stylings last April when I heard her huge pop ballad “Simple.” Since then she has continued to pump out high quality experimental R&B tracks.

In her most recent work, “Weird Nights,” MRKI continues to come into her own with the help of Miami producer, Kaixen. Downtempo, experimental percussion and soaring saxophone melodies create an instrumental that MRKI’s vocals glide seamless across. Definitely check out the track and keep an eye out for these two in the future.
