Whenever you try to explain dance music to your parents, it seems like you're speaking to them in a different language. Does a DJ/producer equate to a recording artist? How does producing music on a computer, compiling tracks, and mastering a product digitally count as real music? Well, for most of us, our parents just don't get it. But, on the flip side, as Justin Blau explains, "every musical ideas starts on the piano." That one defining instrument in music that always acts as a foundation to great things musically. After much success with his smash hit featuring Bright Lights, "How You Love Me," 3LAU wanted to take the majestic vocal and create an incredibly passionate acoustic rendition. "I wanted to show you all the initial inspiration for How You Love Me, revealing the spark that made the entire song possible," says the Las Vegas based musician.
He continues by saying "I'm a musician BEFORE I'm a Producer/DJ, and this is the first of many more non-EDM tracks you'll hear from me! I really hope you enjoy it."
