The infamous Woodstock marked the beginning of music festivals, as we know it: Three days of peace and music in the Catskills in Bethel, NY. Forty-Five years later, one of the biggest production companies in the world, those who brought you Sensation, Tomorrowland, and TomorrowWorld, are prepared to dazzle you by bringing another one of their “lands” into the US this Memorial Day weekend, right back where all the craziness started: Bethel Woods, NY.
Since 1994, Mysterland’s multi-sensory environment has drawn creative, lovers of electronic music from all around the globe as it travels nomadically around the world. Not only do they showcase international artists, but up-and-comers as well. It’s the perfect place to enjoy what you’ve always loved while breathing in the vibes and sounds and of a new generation of music. This unique year of Mystery will also feature theater, movies, interactive art installations, street performers, decorative stages, and more!
This is a 2-day festival, so break out the camping gear and prepare for the mystery of what awaits! Starting on Friday, May 23rd, the actual festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 24th and 25th. If you camp at the Holy Ground, the site opens on Friday for a special pre-party for campers. Monday is reserved for packing up your campsite and saying your final goodbyes to those you met and shared the magical experience with. Fortunately for me, not so fortunate for rave babies, this festival is 21+ only. To quote Mysterland, “We love you, but there’s no exceptions.”
