Today, Ultra Music Festival confirmed via its Facebook page that it will be returning for 2015 for what appears to be another weekend packed with incredible music, after parties galore, and the iconic Miami Music Week. The only twist (good or bad depending on how you see it) is the age of entry is now 18+. They also announced that the key area of focus will be on safety of the crowd. The next edition of Ultra Music Festival will take place March 27, 28, and 29, 2015 at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
In a statement released by the festival, it shows its appreciation to its younger fans, the generation bursting onto the scene in dance music. But, it believe it should be an adult only festival. "While we sincerely value the incredible ongoing support from our younger fans, we ultimately believe that Ultra Music Festival is a premium event geared towards adults."
As it continues to take precautionary measures in its efforts to keep Bayfront Park safe, newly hired Ultra Music Festival Security Director and former Miami Beach Police Chief, Ray Martinez, further expressed his optimism towards the decision:
“The first step to having fun is feeling safe,” Martinez said, “We have chosen to adopt several new measures during next year’s festival to ensure our event is safe and secure. The first step to preserving the unique atmosphere that Ultra is famous for is to be proactive in attracting the right crowd.”
Pre-Registration for tickets will open on September 15, 2014. More information can be found at UltraMusicFestival.com You can read the statement in full below.
