The Great Gatsby – Original Sountrack

The Great Gatsby – Original Sountrack

The highly anticipated Great Gatsby is finally here! F. Scott Fitzgerald’s perception of the “Lost” generation steers the compilation of the most obscure yet perfect tracks to become the sound track of the all Great Gatsby. Through the midst of the Roaring 20’s, the time period creates the perfect platform to mirror society back then towards our generation. The soundtrack consists of our generations combination of the Jazz Age with Hip-Hop and other contemporary music. They first set off with Jay-Z’s $100 Bill, setting the tone of the garish enriched lifestyle of Gatsby. Slipping into a personal favourite, Back to Black by Beyoncé ft Andre 3000 almost making you feel like you should have your own slow motion entrance. Lana Del Rey‘s heart wrenching Young and Beautiful is so irresistibly captivating. The soundtrack features other artists such as, Fergie, Florence & the Machine, The XX, and Gotye. Possibly one of the most bizarre ways to represent this time period, this collection of gems completely captures the persona of Gatsby.
