Not much information can be found on the rising artist, as they made their musical entrance to the game only just over a month ago. Their first release was a bass house edit of Rusko’s classic Woo Boost – a remix that has received much acclaim from the scene. Funny enough, NIGHTOWLS also released their own bass house rework of Woo Boost around the same time. And though NIGHTOWLS boasts a whopping thirty-nine thousand more SoundCloud followers than SKIN DEEP, both artists have seen a comparable play count on their respective Woo Boost versions – a fact that truly speaks to the production abilities of the up-and-comer.
Today, SKIN DEEP released their first original. Much in the same vein of their Woo Boost edit, VEXED is a massive bass house tune that has all the makings of a dance floor destroyer. While the intro provides misleadingly mellow house vibes, the huge drop keeps listeners on their toes as it cranks back and forth between break-beat and four-on-the-floor grooves.
SKIN DEEP clearly knows how to deliver banging dance tracks, and there is no doubt their music is going to end up in the sets of EDM’s most popular performers. Hopefully they intend to keep up the momentum they have begun to build.
