After joining the Mau5trap family only a few months ago, Fehrplay is taking on the big cheese himself with a remix of, "The Reward is Cheese," a song Deadmau5 & Jelo did together back in 2007. The track is arguably the one that gave Deadmau5 the spotlight, so it's fitting for him to give the new-signee the opportunity to show what he has to offer and that's exactly what he did. Fehrplay completely reimagined the song through progressive house and it certainly brings it back to relevancy. His signature snyth gives the track a mysterious undertone that is balanced by Deadmau5's electro bass.
Deadmua5 announced a couple of weeks ago that he would release, 5 Years of Mau5, a retrospective remix of EP featuring Dillon Francis, Madeon and more who will chronicle the past 5 years of his career. 5 Years of Mau5 will be released on November 24th via Mau5trap and, "The Reward Is Cheese," will be available for purchase through Beatport on October 20th.
