Give it a chance. Seriously. Now that we have moved past that it’s a remix of Maroon 5, we can have a mature conversation about the quality that Gryffin has exuded on this track. As far as aggression goes in the pop music spectrum, Maroon 5 may have pushed the envelope by their own standards, but the 100 bpm indie dance flare that Gryffin lays on this mix is an interpretation that you’ll definitely get behind. Not that we would expect anything less from Gryffin, but with the midas touch he has, we continue to marvel at his ability to reimagine tracks and turn them to gold.
