Dance hall kings Major Lazer dropped their first track of 2015 with the help of a star studded team of DJ Snake and MØ on "Lean On." Back in November they tapped into a similar sound by pulling in singer Ariana Grande on, "All My Love," which was a huge success.
Attracting a similar audience, "Lean On" delivers the same kind of groovy dance hall track that "All My Love" was packing, but it's meant for a slower more intimate kind of dancing. Major Lazer is known to be quite the opposite, especially in regards to the live performances, so it's a nice to see them show side of them that is rarely seen."Lean on," is a reminder of, "XXX 88," a track Diplo produced for MØ back in 2013, only this is definitely more groovy.
In case you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks, Diplo has been incredibly busy between dropping an album under Jack U, his relatively new collaboration project with his bff, Skrillex, and throwing one of the most epic house parties in West Coast history. Also, he made history by making Madonna's 44th #1 Billboard track, "Living For Love"...sooooo he's insane, right? Regardless of his sanity, Diplo knows how to choose his collaborations and "Lean On" is a testament to this.
