MIAMI - No matter how many people criticize the talked about DJ Mag rankings, Hardwell solidified his number one spot last night, closing out the third and final day of Ultra Music Festival. There was no doubt in my mind that from the moment Hardwell took the stage, he was going to slay the crowd with big-room classics, hardstyle beats, and an overall set worthy of the Ultra finale performance.  

Robbert van de Corput's high energy attitude and demeanor easily translated from the Ultra mainstage to the hundreds of thousands that gathered at Bayfront Park.  Not only did Hardwell's set comprise of mostly new music, but also mixed it up with the classic edited bootlegs and remixes.

As we dive into the specifics of the set, one portion of this set that caught my attention was Hardwell's use of his classic vocal tracks accompanied by new beats and remixes. The biggest eargasm bomb was dropped on the crowd with his new tune with Joey Dale and Miss Palmer entitled "Arcadia".  With a dope beat and huge big-room value, this track set the entire crowd off. In classic Hardwell fashion, he ended his set with the well known track that truly pushed the big-room scene "Spaceman."

There was never a dull moment with Hardwell's high energy set, and the crowd loved it. The one great thing about Hardwell's passion and love for the scene is his resistance to leave the stage after his immediate interview with the UMFTV staff following his closing performance. Ultra 2014 definitely went out with a bang.
