Electric Forest Announces Curated Stages for 2018

In 2018, Electric Forest will host its biggest Curated Event Series to date, collaborating with nine fellow musical tastemakers from around the globe to take part in curating the lineup and vibe of a distinct stage each night. Creating unique musical experiences within the festival itself, Electric Forest 2018 will join forces with noteworthy partners BASSRUSHDesert HeartsGreen Velvet Presents LaLa LandMr. Carmack Presents Forward Thinkersmau5trapRÜFÜS DU SOL & FriendsSoulection and This Ain’t Bristol – delivering even more musical depth and diversity to Electric Forest’s already stellar lineup.

First Weekend

BASSRUSH
Featuring Cookie Monsta, Dimension, Fury, Herobust, Jauz, Kayzo, Matrix & Futurebound, Moody Good, Noisia, Um…, MC Dino
(Friday, June 22 on Tripolee)
Since the early 2000’s, BASSRUSH has focused on cultivating and curating the very best of the ever-expanding world of drum ‘n’ bass, trap, dubstep, and bass music. BASSRUSH returns to Electric Forest’s Tripolee Stage for the fifth year in a row to showcase an unparalleled dancefloor experience centered on thick vibes and world-class talent. Staying true to its roots, their EF2018 curated events showcase artists from a broad range of bass genres and sub-genres, introduce exciting new acts alongside world-class heavy hitters.
Green Velvet Presents LaLa Land
Featuring Camelphat B2B Detlef, Green Velvet, Kerri Chandler, Hill Frenzy, Nicole Moudaber, Seth Troxler (Thursday, June 21 on Tripolee)
Hosted by Chicago’s house music renaissance man Green Velvet, LaLa Land will feature house and techno grooves from around the world. In Green Velvet’s own words, “I want my fans to feel transported to a place only experienced in their dreams.”

Mr. Carmack Presents Forward Thinkers
Featuring Devin The Dude, Mr. Carmack, Natalie Cressman, Rayana Jay, Sam Gellaitry, Tsuruda (Friday, June 22 on Forest Stage)

Constantly translating personal experience into his craft, Mr. Carmack finds inspiration from a range of sources. For this EF2018 Curated Event, Mr. Carmack returns to Electric Forest and bring a lineup of EF first-time artists spanning rap, electronic, soul and jazz genres. As Mr. Carmack promises, “It has always been a vision and goal of mine to incorporate different moods and genres that change over the course of the day. With the beautiful and surreal setting of the Forest, I think it’s important to take fans on a question through various moods and feelings…”
This Ain’t Bristol
Featuring Billy Kenny, MAXIMONO, Kyle Watson, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (DJ Set), Golf Clap, Mat.Joe, Kay Wolf and Good Vibes Soundclash (Saturday, June 23 on Forest Stage)
Germany based House music imprint This Ain’t Bristol is committed to blurring borders and cultural comfort zones. For EF, they host lineup of like-minded artists from around the world. “We feel blessed to be able to be a part of probably one of the richest festivals we’ve heard of when it comes to good vibes and community spirit… can’t wait to shake a leg with you out there.”

Second Weekend

Desert Hearts
Featuring Mikey Lion, Marbs, Lee Reynolds, Porky, and Special Guests Doc Martin and Rybo (Saturday, June 30 on Forest Stage)
Starting as an intimate gathering in the Mojave Desert, and transcending into a global movement, Desert Hearts has built a legacy of love, dance, and togetherness. Committed to creating beautiful community-oriented house and techno gatherings, achieving a memorable energetic balance, while maintaining high musical integrity that focuses on the progression of the underground movement. “Our whole Desert Family is so excited to bring the vibes to EF2018!”
RÜFÜS DU SOL & Friends
Featuring Cassian, Dena Amy, Hayden James (DJ Set), Motez, RÜFÜS DU SOL (DJ Set) (Friday, June 29 on Tripolee)
RÜFÜS DU SOL returns to Electric Forest for both weekends this year, and for Weekend 2 hosts their curated event RÜFÜS DU SOL & Friends, featuring fellow Australian artists. “Hayden James, Motez, Cassian and Dena Amy are all going to bring a vibe, stoked that we get to spin a DJ set to close the party.”
mau5trap
Featuring Attlas, Blackgummy, Chris Lake, Claptone, Jeremy Olander, Rinzen, TESTPILOT, Lane 8 (Saturday, June 30 on Tripolee)
deadmau5’s Canadian imprint mau5trap hosts label artists on the Second Weekend of EF2018. “Bringing our records to the Second Weekend of Electric Forest 2018 is a dream, and we can’t wait to share it with the Forest Family.”
Soulection Curated Event
Featuring Abjo, Insightful, Kronika, Sasha Marie, The Whooligan (Sunday, July 1 on Forest Stage)
Bringing together all forms of progressive music, Soulection is an independent music collectively committed to bringing visibility to meaningful music and curating memorable experiences. For EF2018, Soulection promises to bring “an array of styles to amplify and soothe the spirit [to] EF…a magical place, unlike any other festival in the world.”
