This year has been filled to the brim with countless unforgettable moments and, as the year comes to a close, electronic music lovers are enjoying the final events of 2018. Among these events was Insomniac's trance celebration, Dreamstate. Returning to the NOS Events Center for another year of Trancegiving, Dreamstate SoCal delivered a lineup which left everyone feeling extra thankful during this holiday season. Hosted across three stages, international acts welcomed thousands of guests for two nights of music, community, and fantasy.

Anybody who has been to an Insomniac event at the NOS Center is familiar with the top notch production that goes into each event. However, walking into this venue for Dreamstate felt like walking into a completely different space than usual. The neon lights covering the trees along the lake provided a sense of familiarity that one feels when walking to the event stages at this venue, however, with that being said, Dreamstate also delivered unique art and stage design that captured the eye and paired perfectly with the hypnotizing sounds of trance music's beloved artists. This year, the event welcomed back the Megastructure, home to The Dream stage. Performing in this massive structure were trance superstars such as Paul Van Dyke, Vini Vici, and Gareth Emery, whose Laserface performance truly left viewers in a state of trance. In the tent adjacent to the Megastructure was The Sequence, whose ornate colors created a mesmerizing space to accompany the fast, hard hitting beats coming from this tent. At this stage were the likes of Blastoyz, Ace Ventura, and Freedom Fighters, along with many others. The third stage, located in one of the structures, hosted artists such as Solarstone, Chris Schweizer, and Heatbeat, amongst others. Named The Vision, a key feature of this stage was the circular structure which drew people into it like a vortex of beaming lasers and lights.

Amazing production and world-class talent truly left trance fans in a dream state after Insomniac's fourth installation of Dreamstate SoCal. The beauty of this event was epitomized not only in the aesthetics surrounding it but also the people who attended. At this event, it could be sincerely felt that the music was the uniting factor for those in the crowd. Groups, solo travelers, friends, and strangers alike all came together to create a weekend that embodied the spirit of electronic music. For this reason, and many more, Dreamstate 2019 is an event to look out for.
