Disclosure's Wild Life and Claude VonStroke's The Birdhouse give Delano Beach Club two of the best MMW parties

Delano Beach Club & DiskoLab brought several incredible showcases to Miami Music Week 2016, but two events stood out to me in particular. I had the opportunity to experience top notch artists in a top notch venue that truly provides a unique experience for Miami locals and visitors alike.

The venue was absolutely amazing. DBC included a spacious pool that stretched almost entirely across the outdoor club. It also hosted several tiki bars and a semi-large stage that served as a pedestal for the talent to perform. Everyone was in a good mood. I mean, why wouldn't they be? You're in Miami, there's amazing music everywhere and you get to share this music with a bunch of random people who enjoy it just as much as you do. That, in itself, is pretty damn cool.

On Thursday, March 17th they hosted Disclosure’s Wild Life Miami parties. The Wild Life Miami day-party consisted of Disclosure, Boys Noize, Dusky, Heidi, Will Clarke and The Black Madonna. The entire afternoon through late evening consisted of a techno/house affair.

Boys Noize and Dusky did what they do best and brought the darker stuff to the table. Honestly everyone was insane, but it had to be Disclosure to come and steal the show. The pair arranged what ended up being a three-hour set to end the first section of Wildlife Miami with a bang.

Now that all the buzz from Ultra had already begun, it might have been more competitive for these smaller-scale events to compete. Not for Claude VonStroke presents The Birdhouse! DiskoLab came at us again with another stellar booking that filled up Delano Beach Club in just over an hour.

Claude along with Danny Daze, Fur Coat, Jesse Rose, Justin Jay, Matthias Tanzmann, Soul Clap, Tiga and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, made it a day that I will remember for a long long time. Claude Spearheaded the event, but some stand-outs for me were Justin Jay, Soul Clap and Tiga.

It's always exciting to experience an artist live that you have never seen play before. I know it's going to be good...well, better than good, when I get chills before the music even starts. Justin Jay blew me away instantaneously and it looked effortless. This A-list Dirtybird member dished out banger after banger with such finesse. Soul Clap gave the group a run for their money when he threw down a wide array of styles ranging from techno, groovy-disco-esque house and tech-house for daaaaaays. Tiga was someone I've been DYING to go see spin, and he did not disappoint. He managed to add just as much diversity to his set as the next without hesitation. Definitely one of my favorite sets of MMW, hands down.

Regardless of how much you paid to get into the door or how expensive the drinks were, this party was totally worth it and I hope you agree. To find out more about what DiskoLab and Delano Beach Club have going on in the future, check out their official websites below!
