Known for his wild antics and unique blend of hip-hop and dubstep called “crunkstep”, ‘Crizzly’ aka Chris Lee Marshall is currently tearing up the VANS Warped Tour stage and wowing crowds all across the nation. With the recently inked three-year collaboration between the iconic punk music tour and EDM giant Beatport, this year’s Warped Tour will be bridging the gap, and Crizzly’s blended beats are perfect for bringing these two eclectic music scenes together.
Having come a long way from his humble beginnings as a birthday party DJ in San Antonio, Crizzly has already played at esteemed festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival and toured alongside dubstep veterans such as 12th Planet, Zeds Dead, and Figure. Armed with an arsenal of tracks such as his newly released remix of Bassnectar and Excision’s ‘Put It Down’, and a collaboration with Figure, Crizzly has stolen the spotlight and pioneered a new sub-genre of dubstep. His hard-hitting, musical fusion has built up a loyal fan base that’s dedicated to his distinctive style and crazy on-stage stunts and earned support from EDM behemoths like Diplo and Skrillex.
This summer, he not only brings the party to Warped Tour, but also livens up the iconic Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. From pizza throwing to crowd surfing, Crizzly’s shows are a good time that you cannot afford to miss!
