Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy (Arnaud Rebotini Remix)

October 24, 2017 -

Edward T.

Dance music legend, Arnaud Rebotini, recently dropped a stellar remix of the classic 80s jam, "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski beat. The artist expertly preserves the original's synth pop vibe, but expertly melds it with the techno sound of the 90s. I've been a fan of the original for a long time, so after hearing it get an update to the modern club sound I've been alighted.

The track is part of Rebotini's original sound track for the recent indie French film, "Beats Per Minute." The picture details the desperate AIDS crisis in France during the 1990s. Seeing as Bronski Beat's lead singer was a major player in raising awareness for the disease, the remix is very fitting. If you're trying to break a sweat on the dance floor, definitely check this one out ASAP.
