Bassrush came to Tampa.....and it was EPIC

June 12th was like any other Sunday in the bright and sunny Florida, but this time around, Excision, Brillz and ETC!ETC! were added to the mix. Insomniac's heralded "Bassrush" event had made its way to Beach Bar | Restaurant in Clearwater, Florida and ignited an excitement more intense than anyone expected.

A plethora of bass was dispersed throughout the venue which lured people in from all directions. The best part about the afternoon/evening was that you could catch any age group wandering about. There were large table sections surrounding the patio that were filled with friends and laughter. It's always an enlightening experience to see the positivity that dance music can bring to any city.

The earlier part of the afternoon included local openers Nerd Rage, D3V, DJ GEMINI and D2. They held it down all the way until sunset. Beach couldn't have chosen a better bunch to start things off.

After the openers finished up, ETC!ETC! took center-stage. Per usual he slammed the decks with a set that offered up a diversified selection of heavy hitters any attendee would appreciate. ETC!ETC! has an energy most DJs envy. He continually finds a way to offer the crowd as much enthusiasm as they give him.

Next up was our favorite Twonk Team head honcho, Brillz. His eclectic style and creative transitions make for an exciting set. It's always a pleasure to see him play, especially when he drops tracks like "Hawt" with Ghastly and one of his newer pieces "We Bring The Fire" featuring Drones. Needless to say I've seen Brillz more than a handful of times and I'm NEVER disappointed.

Finally Excision came to close the night out. The entire venue was in a frenzy. People were  squishing to the front as if it were his last performance ever. His entire set was absolutely nuts. He threw down some of his classics like "Headbanga" with Downlink and one of his newest (which really increased the energy) "Robo Kitty" also co-produced with Downlink, It's safe to say that each and every person there had received enough bass to fill their yearly quota. The whole show was EPIC.
