After years of Coachella experience we finally made it out to one of the festival's acclaimed pool parties during the first weekend of shenanigans. Hosted just miles away from the Polo Field, we found ourselves surrounded in an oasis of luxury as we entered the pool area of the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa. It was here that Cadillac and Destination Luxury chose to throw their exclusive pre-party, an experience that catered to the trendiest festival attendees.

Destination Luxury is a blog that represents the luxurious lifestyle which includes an array of content on interests such as hotels, fashion, architecture, and automobiles. With major music festivals at an all time peak of popularity, it's no wonder that a site like this wanted to hop in on all the action. Whereas some prefer their weekend festivities to involve a rugged camping experience, many look to douse their time in vacation-like activities. With this in mind David Christopher Lee, Destination Luxury's founder, went ahead and booked this event to take place at one of Palm Springs's most elegant hotel resorts with the help of Lillie PR and Josh Reef from Hurwitz James Company.

Upon arrival we were treated to a back to back to back set from Apek, Courtland, and Mike from Charity Strike. They brought a mixture of deep night bass on top of bouncy electro that quickly brought up everyone's mood in preparation for the festival. Each of them could be seen rocking a pair of 24K Gold headphones courtesy of Monster, one of the event sponsors.

Across from the stage was a huge circular bar lined with misters to cool off their thirsty guests. From this view we could see tons of people floating across the pool with drink as well as Monster's Backfloat, their new floating portable speaker. Guests were either dancing in front of the stage or grooving in the water making it a very active and friendly environment. Walking around the pool area there were VIP cabanas that ran their customers a womping $1,500, a truly luxurious experience for those who could afford it. Aside from that there were a number of boutiques lined up along the palm trees including J.D. Luxe, Salt & Spice, Caffeinated Club, Korp Razors, and Diane's Beachwear. It offered some exotic shopping opportunities for those looking to reel out the true vacation experience.

After Bass Ops dropped a killer set we were greeted to the headliner of the day, English house producer Zen Freeman. His spirit enraptured the party spirit right off the bat with his choice of Chris Lake's remix of SNBRN's California Love remake. It was hard not to groove to his set as I received a complimentary spray on tattoo from Akcent Body Art.

Destination Luxury has always kept strong connections with designers in the fashion industry and their passion for the culture was made clear when lines of models stepped out of the VIP area for their own little runway show. Whereas most fashion shows are hosted with a professional attitude, people were able to sit back in their poolside lounge chairs as they enjoyed the view of the latest fashion lines from Diane's Beachwear and Studio BE.

The DLX Dayclub was a solid representation of the attitude and lifestyle Destination Luxury has been laying out in their content. Whether you came in as a hotel guest or a VIP member, there was no hiding the thrills of experiencing such a trendy event.
